SEETHA UNITED HANDS (SUH)

SUH (Seetha United Hands) is an initiative undertaken by the students of Seetha Polytechnic with a view to providing financial assistance to the poor and the needy students in and around Bhimavaram. The amount is collected through donations offered voluntarily by students. The poor and needy students are identified from various colleges /schools through proper channels and help is extended to them based on the funds available.

Seetha United Hands is very proactive in extending help to the students who are merit but poor.  SUH also helps poor people as well as students who need medical assistance in case of emergency, accidental issues or untoward incidents.  Even, it extends its hands to help people in old-age homes. The SUH offered assistance to various persons and charities during the last three academic years (2014-2017).

In view to develop social responsibility among the student community to help the poor and the needy, and a thought of our principal, “SEETHA UNITED HANDS” [SUH] initiated in the year 2012 with active involvement of HODs, faculty and students.

Every time, whenever issue came to our notice we inform to the final year class representatives of all branches. These class representatives take SUH box and give necessary information to all the students relating to the issue and also they request them to put some amount in the SUH box voluntarily. After go around students & staff for 4-5 days then the SUH fund box opens in the presence of Principal, the concerned staff and the student members.

The following issues came to us to help the Needy:

  • On 17/05/2012, an amount of Rs. 5,000/- donated to’’ ARUNODAYA MANO VIKAS KENDRA’’ which is in Pedamiram village in order to the purchase of vessels, utensils etc.
  • On 17/12/2012, an amount of Rs. 10,000/- donated to our Polytechnic student P. Vijay Kumar with pin no: 12093-AEI-243, who lost his house in a Fire Accident with short circuited.
  • On 17/12/2012, an amount of Rs. 10,000/- donated to our Polytechnic student P. Vijay Kumar with pin no: 12093-AEI-243, who lost his house in a Fire Accident with short circuited.
  • On 12/02/2013, an amount of Rs. 7,500/- donated for medical treatment to Mohammed Jinna who is suffering from Cancer.
  • On 18/03/2013, an amount of Rs. 3,500/- donated for the purpose of establishment of a Library by SARD [Society of Agricultural and Rural Development] at S.Kondepadu, village – W.G.Dt.
  •  On 03/05/2013, an amount of Rs. 10,000/- donated to 10 months old baby N. Sai Dhanush who suffered from severe Heart problem.
  • On 28/01/2014, an amount of Rs. 7,500/- entrust to N.Kishore who studied M.C.A. in B.V.RICE who was in treatment of Dialysis.
  • An amount of Rs. 9,000/- donated on 06/03/2014, to Late M.P.Chiranjeevi’s family who expired in an Accident who was the Lecturer of V.S.K.Degree College, Bhimavaram.
  • An amount of Rs.  5,000/- donated on 16/07/2014, to K. Babu Rao pin No. 13093-AEI-016 who had lost his house in a Fire Accident in Vissakoderu, village.
  • An amount of Rs.8400/- contributed on 20/10/2014, for the victims of HUDHUD cyclone.
  • An amount of Rs. 4,000/- contributed on 20/11/2014, to G.Danush Babu who studied B.Sc. at D.N.R.College and suffered from Bone Cancer.
  • On 05/01/2015 an amount of Rs.1, 500/- donated to N.Suresh with pin No. 12093-EC-083 who was a student of our SBSP for the treatment of Accidental Injuries.
  • On 28/01/2015 an amount of Rs.8, 000/- donated to SK.Baji with pin No. 12093-AEI-052 who was a Student of our SBSP and lost his house in a Fire Accident.
  • On 02/03/2015 an amount of Rs.13, 000/- donated to our SBSP student S.M.Durga Bhavani with pin No.13093-EC-075 for the treatment of Accidental Injuries.
  • An amount of Rs.6000/- donated to Viswamanava Vedika, An Old Age Home on 28/09/15.
  • An amount of Rs.8, 000/- was donated to N.Kanaka Chandra Deepika of Bhimavaram who is suffering from Blood Cancer on 05/03/2016.
  • An amount of Rs.12, 000/- was donated to our SBSP student B.Ranga Babu with pin No.13093-EC-206 for the treatment of Tumor problem on 16/07/2016.

  • An amount of Rs. 3,000/- was donated to BVRICE 2nd year student’s relative who is suffering from ill health.

  • Our students  contributed  an amount of Rs.3000/- to BVRICE 2nd Year student relative  who is suffering with ill health  under “Seetha United Hands”.
  • Celebrated DAANUSTAV on 05.10.2016 by distributing fruits and bread (worth Rs.9970/-) to the patients at Govt.Hospital, Bhimavaram under Seetha United Hands.
  • Our students  contributed  an amount of Rs.20,000/- on 24.11.2016 to our Final Year DEEE Student Mr.M.Lakshman, who was injured in an accident and for his leg operation under “Seetha United Hands”.
  • Our students  contributed  an amount of Rs.10, 000/- (Rupees Ten Thousand only) on 06.02.2017 to  Mr.Panja Hari Kishore, I DEEEE towards his leg operation under Seetha United Hands.
  • Our students contributed an amount of Rs.2500/-on 06.02.2017  to social cause on the occasion of New Year Day under Seetha United Hands.
  • Our students  contributed  an amount of Rs.10,000/- on 06.02.2017 (Rupees Ten Thousand only) to Mr.Cheeday Chandra  Kiran, I DCME towards his eye operation under Seetha United Hands.
  • Our students  contributed  an amount of Rs.4,200/- on 24.07.2017 (Rupees Four Thousand Two Hundred only) to distribute note books to poor students under Seetha United Hands.

SO FAR BY THE GRACE OF GOD WE GOT AN OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE THE NEEDY. FROM 2012 ONWARDS WE DONATED THE TOTAL  AMOUNT Rs. 1, 21,400/- [ONE LAKH TWENTY ONE THOUSAND AND FOUR HUNDRED RUPEES ONLY] TO THE PEOPLE WHO ARE IN NEEDY.
